What does One Fab Cake cost? What flavours are available?

Meanwhile, this page offers some detail on how I prepare and design my cakes, with some guidelines on pricing and numbers catered for by different cake sizes.

FLAVOURS
I use only the best quality ingredients: for example, free-range eggs, fine Callebaut Belgian chocolate, Hennessy Brandy. (Gluten-free and special dietary requirements can be considered, with appropriate notice).

Fruit cake is the traditional choice, but its pride of place at the Top Table has been yielded these days to luxurious chocolate biscuit cake. Vanilla sponge and red velvet flavours are popular choices too: when we meet for your tasting, I will have samples of your choices for you to try.

Our chocolate biscuit cakes are made with the finest Belgian chocolate. Sponge cakes are available in a variety of flavours and fillings; gluten-free options are also available.

Sponge Cakes
  • Vanilla sponge cake with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream
  • Lemon sponge cake with lemon curd jam and lemon buttercream
  • Red velvet cake with cream cheese or vanilla buttercream
  • Carrot cake with cream cheese or vanilla buttercream
  • Chocolate sponge cake with chocolate buttercream
  • Coffee cake (with or without walnuts) and coffee buttercream

Chocolate Biscuit Cakes
  • Milk chocolate biscuit cake
  • White chocolate biscuit cake
  • Rocky Road (as above, with marshmallows and Maltesers).

Cupcakes
Cupcakes (minimum order 12) have the same flavour options as Sponge cakes, with your choice of coloured cases, buttercream and decoration.

How many tiers? Traditional or Contemporary? Colour themes and design can follow from your invitation or your bridesmaids' dresses. The design is limited only by your imagination — perhaps you have some ideas already? When we meet, we can start planning your One Fab Cake.
COSTS
Estimating the cost starts with the number of guests you anticipate: the panel below offers a guideline. The cost is agreed once the design is finalised. In general, intricate or extra-unusual design features take longer to create and the price simply reflects time involved.

A deposit of €100 secures your booking, with balance due on the day. Delivery and setup is included within a ten mile radius of the greater Dublin area.
